For a change I've actualy done a very tidy conversion on my own car. Normaly customer cars are done very neat and tidy and my own car ends up as a test bed and bits and peices get borrowed when I need a spare part. I'm sure all the other installers will know what I'm on about with that.

Here are some engine bay photos to start with,

Not much showing of the LPG install is there :D

The vapouriser is under the batery tray

The ECU is under the fuse box

But the magic part is the LPG injectors are mounted in a second Volvo Fuel rail giving that real factory look

OOoo I remember the days well, mine wasnt converted but went very well, the first one, the 850 awd was awsome, but due to the rubbish awd system which was disconnected in the end had to go, the V70 AWD R was another story :twisted: nice job tho 8)

After looking at it in the flesh today I'm impressed :D Looks a very neat and tidy job - you can't see it's there even when you open the bonnet!

a good quality job, is the ECU up to the job, looks like europa gas, what about the injectors? are they kushty?

The injectors are Hana A - did not even need the A+, reducer is one from AFC that I had about and ECU is Europegas with self adaptive mapping not that you need it.

Have done a lot of miles in it already and as you would expect drives just the same on either fuel.

Certainly do.. I've got a Chrysler Grand Voyager that I converted with parts that I had laying around. Tank was supposed to go to an installer in Bristol called SANMAX PERFORMANCE but they ripped me and many others off and the owner ended up going to jail.. so he didn't get his tank! Had it laying around for 6 months then fitted it to the GV. Reducer is a new KME Silver, injectors are old metal bodied OMVL units that I built up from other broken rails, ECU is a very old Tartarini unit but with a recent loom (had to modify the switch wiring). ECU sometimes forgets all it's mapping info, that's why I replaced it for a customer in the first place! But got it set up so it still runs properly even on the base settings. I left the new loom's switch in place so if/when I replace the ECU I can just plug the normal AEB switch in instead of the Tartarini switch.

I've got another GV that I converted a while ago. That one has ESGI ECU, Valtek injectors, MJ reducer. Low demand engine doesn't need anything special. I'm selling this other GV because the bodywork isn't in as good condition as the 'newer' GV. I only bought the 'new' GV because a fault developed with the old GV (now fixed). Sometimes whilst driving the 'alarm set' light came on the dash and the engine misfired. The fault became more and more regular. I suspected the petrol ECU but it could have been the immobiliser or early canbus type system. It was just as easy to buy another car and swap parts to fix the problem. It was the petrol ECU and the car is now fixed - so I have two GVs running on LPG and am selling the one with the worst condition bodywork. It has new wheel bearings, rebuilt gearbox (by me), recent water pump, new LPG system, is currently on Ebay (psychosime999).
