Special AEB CK8 file for MagicJet injectors
Thanks to Simon P (supercharged Lexus V8 in the Range-Rover) I received a copy of the "special no warranties expressed or impled" CK8 file from AEB. Link here:

http://www.cosic.org.uk/MarkoStuff/lpg/ ... t-rev1.ck8

They've modified it to allow the MagicJet injectors to fire down to 2 ms, not 3.8 ms. Whilst they are officially supported, and bundled in the frontend kits by the integrators, I don't think you stand much of a chance using them with an AEB ECU unless you've got the non-standard config file, thanks to the insane minimum opening time.

(I can understand the logic of not trying to idle below 3.8 ms, if they've been found cheap/nasty/not stable below this by AEB, which is what the emails/disclaimers that Simon P received seemed to state, but you do need the ability not to shovel loads of gas in on the overrun, and the standard config file won't let you do this)

Do you still have teh file to reduce teh minimum injection times.

Ck8 linked above, right click save as, upload to ecu, modify settings to suit your engine. HTH!

Cold weather update:

Frigging the temperature sensors to tell both the car's ECU and the LPG ECU that the engine is "fully hot" when it changes to LPG is working fine even below 0C. Heater is absolutely pants with the vapouriser in parallel. Demists the scren but you're wearing hat and gloves for any journey < 10 miles.

Averaging around 25 mpg with minimal petrol usage (still haven't filled up after 2,500 miles)

Hi,

I think I'm having the same problem with my 97 328i, so I want to try this solution.

However, having installed the King software (linked to by markocosic), when I go to upload the ck8 file, ck8 it is not one of the extensions listed for either 4-cylinder or 5-6-8-cylinder...

Am I doing this wrong??

Thanks,

Ross

Either:

-software has been upgraded/revised
-you're doing it wrong

Post screenshots? (print screen, paste into paint, save as jpeg, upload to web/gallery)

Actually, I had assumed the King software would work on my LPG ECU... My LPG ECU is an AEB 2568, which looks the same as the King ECU described (and a Romano one too), also the software looks exactly the same. I was wrong though. The King software can't connect to the ECU. The AEB program doesn't recognise the ck8 file extension.

I have started a new thread, since I realise this could go off on a tangent:

Good tips here on converting the old rover Marko. I was toying with fitting a single point venturi kit to my old 400, perhaps using a blos, but your comments re poor performance have put me off somewhat.
I'll hold off until I can find an injection kit, this will make a turbo conversion all the more possible also.
