Wooop it works!!!

There was a minor problem with the inlet manifold vacuum thingy or something.

Hubby took it to the callibration place and the guy fixed the vacuum line in seconds flat and we are now running on gas :D :D

Total cost £78 for the kit
£40 for the callibration and vacuum repair
£10 for P clips for something or other

And of course, lots of beers owed to Tubbs who has been a Godsend on the phone and to Rossko whose replies have really helped loads :D

Can't be bad. If I'd seen that kit on eBay you'd have had a fight on your hands as it would be on my Range Rover by now. The only ones I seem to see are people selling old, worn out kit and expecting to get almost new price for it.

I must admit though, I'm impressed by the thought of a woman buying car bits on eBay. My wife and daughter only ever seem to find shoes......

lol thanks :D i do it to counterbalance the amount of reptile stuff i buy on there ( plus the lovely 4 new royals to add to my household that i kind of forgot to mention to hubby haha )

Overall we were exceptionally lucky with this kit - it is only a 2008 kit according to all of the tags on it, we had to travel to Worksop to collect it but worth it overall by any standard :D

We do have a normal engine kit that i bought off there too obviously no use to us ( was going to fit it to step daughters car but she failed her test! ) so may chuck that back up for sale. It only owes us £170 bought last year so can't grumble really x

But then you'd have to read from a script in an unintelligible Indian accent, after making the customers wait 30 minutes whilst listening to some cheesy on-hold music, broken up by claims that "Your call IS important to us". (Can you tell I've spent far too long on the phone recently?)
