Not that I've got any pictures to upload but I've just tried clicking the upload image button and everything appears normal for me.

It might be that the pics are too big. What size are they?

Looks like it was the size then, reduce them down to 1200x800 or maybe even smaller.

Just a thought - as this would have helped me when looking for LPG installers - can you not name and shame the people who Bodge the conversion with the evidence of photos ???

You may get where I'm coming from in regards to my current issue with my LPG conversion to ended up costing me a complete engine rebuild......

Cheers

Rob

It's already here, see gallery/album.php?album_id=2 or if that doesn't work, click on Gallery along the top of the page and there's one called bodged conversions. Whether it is a name and shame or not is up to whoever uploads the pictures but even if you don't name a few subtle hints should make people aware of who you are talking about without actually naming them.

I am beginning to think my professional certified conversion may be a bit of a bodge. It is a Mercedes c180 and The gas rail is almost completely hidden. No chance of any service work on the injectors. The rail is just above the starter motor under the inlet manifold. It does not appear well fixed as it moves a bit if you push on the gas pipe. I suppose the manifold was removed to drill. Then the rail fitted and the manifold replaced on top. Took me ages to even find it. I wonder if this is normal install practice? I am thinking of re doing the whole thing to relocate the rail into an accessible location and re fix all the wiring to suit. I will need longer injector hoses.

No possibility of photos as there is nothing to see.

Rory

Sounds like a neat and tidy installation to me. The hoses to the nozzles need to be kept as short as possible (and certainly less than 300mm) and all the same length. If there is lots of other gubbins at the top, then fitting them underneath the manifold is the way to do it. If you look at this thread viewtopic.php?f=28&t=11929 you'll see that the pro's are recommending fitting them there. It may make maintenance a bit more difficult but they shouldn't need any routine maintenance so as long as the filter is accessible that's all that matters.
