The garage in Auchtermuchty has now stopped selling petrol and will probably stop selling LPG at the end of March 2014. (The owner tells me that he has to give Autogas 3 months notice.)

This only leaves 2 LPG stations in Fife: Gleaner in Cowdenbeath and Asda in Kirkcaldy.

Scotland in general doesn't seem to have a lot of LPG stations compared to down South.
It is one of the things that put me off LPG plus the amount of time it takes to fill the tank then I remember how cheap it is and a smug smile returns to my face.

I found alot of the Scotland coverage was patchy and info somewhat scarce when i was last up there, I added the gleaner outlets that weren't there but wouldn't be surprised to find there is still a few missing elsewhere once you venture out of the cities. Alot of the smaller garages that are shutting down seem to be down to issues with the fuel storage tanks not meeting required standards and it not being worth their while to replace them. one of the stations i know locally now doesn't do petrol/diesel anymore, but is now an lpg converter with autogas on site, so the situation may change if your lucky. at least its not been turned into another hand car wash!
