Anything better would love to hear.

Just checked www.filllpg.co.uk and none of your local stations (except for a couple at Harlow which I did) have had the prices updated in ages. Kinda defeats the object really.

my local one, woodstock is correct but there aren't that many around, not sure its that they're not updated, I don't think they sell it. Chelmsford is a large town but very thin on LPG availability.

The only one showing is on Stock Road, West Hanningfield (which the Flogas site refers to it as Woodpecker) currently shown as 63.9p but not updated since June 2010. Any that have a dark brown or green flag haven't been updated in a few months so can't be relied upon. Even if it gives the correct price, it's worth updating it so people know it's current. I agree though, there only appears to be the one outlet in Chelmsford with quite a number further out.

sorry you are right, woodpecker.

Its odd, I visited a site similar to that one with the map and the price was correct, but this shows it as being different, odd.

anyway it is 74.9ppl

The filllpg site is updated by the users, so if you (or any other users in the area) haven't updated it, it will always be wrong. The beauty of this is that unlike some of the other sites, it lists all outlets as entered by the users and not just the bigger ones. The Autogas site, and it's downloadable POI file for satnavs, only lists filling station forecourts so doesn't include things like Calor and Flogas depots, LPG installers with their own tanks, taxi companies (some taxi companies that run a fleet on LPG will have their own tank and are quite happy to sell you a few litres), etc.

I must admit, I've been a bit slack myself keeping the prices updated around my area as I don't use LPG at the moment, but once the Android app is out I'll be updating a lot more.

Might send out another quick newsletter tomorrow reminding people we need their help.

Shocking, our local Total was selling at 72.9ppl (down from 74 which was nice)

Taken over by shell, opens 3 weeks later, now 79.9ppl

Same pump and tank in the forecourt, daylight robbery, especially when you read some people are paying as low as 64 ppl.
