Recently converted this Nissan Skyline 350GT (3.5V6) for someone who frequents this forum, he's been asking me to put pics up but I've been too busy until now. In fact I still have to check calibration on the Elgrand I've just converted, same engine really just with a different plenum, I'll be doing a thread on that too later.

720x200 internal tank, KME Nevo, Romano HD reducer, single MJ injectors, Flashlube.

The ECU is hidden beneath the battery cover, the reducer is hidden beneath the coolant expansion tank, filler is hidden behind the number plate. The owner intends on making the number plate hinged but for now it is easily removed by taking out a couple of machine screws.

You wouldn't normally see the reducer even from this angle but this pic was taken with the expansion tank removed, which is mounted on a slide mount at the bottom and comes out easily with removal of one bolt.

preventing swarf from entering engine from drilling and tapping, bit of sponge carpet glued to rubber pipe shoved well down ports to below spud location before drilling. Spuds fitted and injector break wiring are done in this pic. I forgot to take a pic with the discrete MJ injectors in place but they fit directly on top of those spuds with pipe length between injectors and spuds of about half an inch. Injectors are fed with gas from LPG feed manifolds that are also sited out of view under the outer edges of the lower part of the plenum.

tank, 720x200 a strange size but owner didn't want taller as boot is already small and shallow. Even at only 200 height the 720 tank is 62.5L

Been a few years but I've converted some of the 'mental' 2.6 straight 6 twin turbo Skylines in the past, some with big boost and very high bhp figures.

And it's a great conversion, runs spot on and can't tell the different from running on petrol.

Well I have just filled her with gas for the 1st time, got 59.97 litres in.
Still got to sort out the hinged rear plate, I will post pictures then I do.

I also changed the long 6mm bolt for a short one holding the lube bottle.

No probs mate, yeh I could/should have fitted a slightly shorter bolt to hold the lube on, it didn't seem to be a problem though else I'd have probably just cut it shorter without having to remove it.

Sorted out the rear plate today -

It's got a plastic hinge which is bolted to the number plate frame and glued to number plate with a small magnet which is again glued to the plate to keep it up/shut.

I have just run tank full to empty, 59.95 litres does about 290 miles 22mpg.

Well happy with that.

Just a quick one , maybe thinking of getting the GT remapped, would this mean the lpg would need redoing as well?

Hi Simon,

Been very busy until today, just a few repairs customers today.

Ideally it's best to check LPG calibration following a petrol remap but on a normally aspirated engine there isn't really much anyone can do to change engine torque/power levels much unless the engine is modified too. I don't think your fuelling on LPG will be far out following the limited changes remap of a normally aspirated can do, would be different on a turbo where remap can easily change boost levels etc.

Hi Simon,
Looks like the same has happened to your photobucket account as mine!

Just a quick question simon, is there a one way valve on the intake to the tank?
I'm maybe thinking of changing the tank to a cylinder one depending on size etc and still fitting in spare wheel in the boot. I would need to remove the tank to have a proper measure.

Same has happened to everyone's Photobucket account. I'm looking at other photo sharing services... those that are still free to use. Just waiting for Photobucket's email that says my pics are ready to download.

Yes there's a one way valve on all tank inlet valves, yours will work OK so you can confidently remove the filler pipe. The most common failure of one way valves is on 4 hole tanks when whomever fitted the filler valve screwed it on the tapered threads too tightly breaking the one way valve.

It seems I can get a few at a time but doing it that way is a pita. Initially it seemed the download library facility would allow me to download all my pics at once if I selected the route folder, which proved incorrect when I got an email link that only sent me the couple of pics that were in my route folder! I am still waiting for an email with all my work pics in, but after waiting so long I doubt it will happen.

It can be done but a lot of the time just recently it is failing to connect to the Captcha website to do the verification. I suspect it is due to the sheer number of people downloading their pictures to then upload them to Imgur instead. When it does finally connect, it downloads all your pictures to a single zip file. After I'd managed to get all of mine off, I eventually found the close my account menu item. It asks you why you wish to close the account, so I told them in no uncertain terms.

Thanks for that, I'll try again when on a proper internet connection, which will have to wait until I'm back from holiday. When I've got all my pics I'll probably close my account and explain why too.
