Seriously - We've probably all done most of the various Subaru flat 4 / flat 6 / turbos / none turbos and they're not really difficult to do. I sell DIY kits for these models and talk people through the install process...

he's the one installer I've seen who knows Subaru flat-6 engines well, and can show evidence that the way he does it does not have any valve seat recession issues for some time. He's who I'll be taking my Gen IV Outback to when I find the right one
Rich - R (another new member recommending installers eh) - Seems you must have overlooked me during your attempts to see installers working on Subaru flat engines, I've done plenty and just maybe would have impressed you! Have you removed the heads from a fair few LPG converted flat 6 Subaru engines, including some converted by Tubbs and some converted by other installers, and compared the heads for VSR then mate?
To prevent VSR we're talking lube systems, optionally a bit of petrol addition, obviously fuel mixture at high loads, and if we're going to get really technical about it injection timing etc... I.e. the normal everyday VSR considerations that apply to every Japanese / Ford etc vehicle with soft valves and/or hard hitting valves..
137 miles and 2h
ours 30mins frpm Sheff to Tubbs in Tenbury Wells OR 35 miles and half an hour to me at South Elmsall (just the other side of Donny)...
An offer to help eh Ben? Yes please, great! Others have done the same in the past.
You know when a potential customer comes on the forum and says 'I'm in the West Midllands, who can you recommend'... and I say 'Tubbs'... Well you know when a customer says 'I'm in Yorkshire'.... (hint to grabbing buggars and those that recommend their mates)
Just converted a Porsche Boxster (hey that had a flat 6 engine too!), before that it was another Vauxhall Monaro. I don't usually take pics of my work unless a customer asks. This customer asked, I will be posting pics on the forum as soon as I've downloaded them from my phone...
See, no mention of UKLPG, insurance or databases on this thread at all - Aww damn now I've done it!
